- This place is like going to see old friends in a
very relaxing, friendly environment. The sushi is leaps
above all others around and the staff is so friendly.
We will always go back! |

- I seldom rate a restaurant with all 10's but
this restaurant is exceptional. Have tried many Japanese
restaurants in Boston & surroundings but the
authenticity in quality & presentation was "over the
top." I saw the recommendation on TV Diner & upon my
visit learned that the Japanese sushi chef has 35+ yrs
experience (and it shows.) Was nice not having to pay
"extra" for soup, salad, rice & green tea. The welcoming
atmosphere added to my dining experience. If you are
looking for authentic Japanese cuisine, this is it. |

- A proclaimed sushi-holic, this is by far
the best sushi restaurant in Mass. The new location is
charming, and leaving the restaurant to the sounds of
the fountain and the beautiful museum adds to a zen
experience! We've been going here for YEARS, and have
never had a bad experience. Asahi is much better than
the city sushi restaurants, yes, even Jae's. The fish
is sooo fresh, the portions huge, and the prices are
great. If you're into the spicy sushi's, this is the
place -- the spicy mayo is addictive. And the staff is
so sweet! I feel like I'm part of the family there. Go
go go! |

- OK- If you even like sushi a little bit, or
have never tried it before- you are lucky to have
Asahi in town here. The people are great who work
there. The chefs are friendly, and informative, the
waitresses have been excellent for my 30 or so visits.
The price is very reasonable ($50 for two people
eating tons of sushi) the hot sake is always yummy-
and the quality and freshness of the fish is
impeccable. if you haven't gone here yet GO! when
doing this review I noticed I gave it 10/10 for
everything... it is just that fun/good/affordable/ and
for those who may soon whine here about walking a few
feet to get to the door from your car... please....
stay home and watch TV and order pizza. |

- I enjoyed the fresh and authentic tastes
offered at Asahi. We are talking real Japanese
food...just like mom's...if mom were Japanese..oh
yes..she is! The service was jovial and warm hearted.
I enjoyed hearing the people at the grill area
celebrating, happy and inebriated. The location is
surprising and easy...one can walk through the mall
and get to the court yard which it is located in. It
is a nice combination with an adventure to the Peabody
Essex Museum. Beer was ice cold...friends warm. |

- I'd like to try the tapanyaki room - it
looked like a lot of fun and the people seemed to be
enjoying themselves. It has a unique atmosphere in the
whole restaurant wherever you wish to be seated. We
chose the sushi bar the night we were there but will
try the dining room also. We liked the fact that it
was easily accessible from Boston via Mass transit and
the Peabody Essex Museum is directly across from
Asahi. It's a perfect combination. |
